How to Filter CC Messages in the Inbox (in Outlook)
If you receive a lot of cc messages in your inbox, you might like to set up the 'cc rule' which diverts these messages into a separate folder that you can read at a time that suits you. It nicely separates these 'cc' messages from those sent with you in the 'to' line as, if used properly, 'cc' doesn't require any action or response from you.
However . . . many people sending you email do NOT use 'cc' correctly and you'll often find that 'cc' messages do in fact require an action or response from you.
So, here's how you distinguish these 'cc' emails from messages which are addressed specifically to you. This 'how to' guide shows two ways you can identify these cc messages in the inbox.
