How to automatically add colour to specific meetings, appointments or events in your calendar

Do you have regular events in your calendar that you would like to stand out in a particular colour?

Maybe you already add this colour but you do it manually each time and would like to automate that step?

This can be very useful for regular events in your calendar such as;

  • Monthly Board meetings

  • Weekly Executive team meetings

  • One-on-one catch ups

  • Training workshops or webinars

  • Travel

  • Personal or private appointments (eg: Doctor)

  • Gym sessions

  • etc

One of the advanced features you can use for your Outlook calendar is Conditional Formatting. This feature allows you to colour code appointments in your calendar based on conditions that you set.
