The TEA Model

Most of us struggle to have enough time, energy and attention to keep up with all our workload and commitments.

We might have the ENERGY and ATTENTION to focus on a high priority project but simply can’t find the TIME for it – we are overwhelmed by everything we need to do.

OR
We might have the TIME and ATTENTION for an important task but lack the ENERGY needed to tackle it – we are exhausted from being so busy.

OR

We might have the TIME and ENERGY for an assignment but lack the ATTENTION to be able to focus on it – we are distracted by all the possibilities around us.

The key to maximising our productivity is to identify which one of these is lacking at the current moment and implement some strategies to address the problem. That was the activity I set for my audience at the recent Verto conference – to brainstorm ideas for strategies that can be implemented in each area of time, energy and attention.

This TEA Model exercise comes from my Performing Under Pressure program, great for addressing your personal or team productivity at any time but especially as you’re trying to plan your goals and activities in the New Year.

Let me know if you’d like to discuss this activity or the full program for your team in 2020.
