Quick Search Tips

Here are 5 ideas on how to improve your search and find what you’re looking for – in email or on-line.

  1. Either: Use ‘or’ when you want to search for two phrases without them excluding each other

  2. Add words: Write ‘+’ when you want to search for two terms that should appear together

  3. Exclude words: Write ‘-‘before the word you DO NOT want to appear in the search

  4. When unsure: Use asterisk * when you are not sure of the specific words to use and search will try to guess the words you’re not sure about

  5. Ellipsis: Write ‘…’ for search to find you results that are close
